Background

Angela has worked on assessment networked audio and video since 1992, and supervised several PhDs in this area, notably Anna Watson's PhD on subjective assessment methods and Gillian Wilson's work on physiological responses. A previous EPSRC-funded project in collaboration with the Multimedia Communications Group in the Dept of Psychology at Glasgow University established an initial taxonomy of mediated tasks, and identified A/V quality thresholds for some of these tasks, and impact on communication behaviour.
