    This research is funded by the EPSRC as the "Structured Text Analysis: Addressing Inconsistency in Heterogeneous Information" project. The research is being undertaken by Anthony Hunter and Rupert Summerton. A list of publications about fusion rules can be found at Tony Hunter's home page, but two useful papers are: Fusion rules for context-dependent aggregation of structured news reports, (Journal of Applied Non-classical Logic, 14(3): 329 - 366) and A knowledgebased approach to merging information, (submitted). The project initially investigated fusion of news reports but has broadened to investigate fusion of a wider range of structured reports. The bioinformatics case study is at a provisional stage, and is being undertaken in conjunction with the UCL Department of Biochemistry.
