Research My research interests are usability, interaction,  automotive UI, mobile applications, intelligent transport systems, driver distraction, visual attention/perception and virtual reality. Over time my work has expanded from being focussed on virtual reality (VR) to mobile and intelligent transport systems (ITS) applications . The key theme that runs through all aspects of my work is to produce  better user experience of the system (VR, AR, Mobile, Automotive) through innovative management of information (transmission and visualisation), intuitive UI and meaningful interaction with the system -  mainly through a better understanding of the user and the brain.  Current research project SafeTRIP - Safellite Applications For Emergency handling, Traffic alerts, Road safety and Incident Prevention. Short Biography Read B.Eng Computer Engineering in India (B.I.T), MSc in Software Engineering and PhD in Computer Science (Virtual Reality) from the University of Manchester. Worked as Lecturer at the University of Mauritius from 1996-1998, Director of Globo Consulting from 2000-2005 and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Matchtooth Ltd 2008-2009. Joined the Virtual Environment and Computer Graphics group at UCL in 2004 and moved to the HC-SPIT group in 2009 to work under the excellent leadership of Prof. M. Angela Sasse.
