2nd year wrap up session 27/5/99

• There was some criticism of B46 the second year maths course. C Nentwich asked why it was a required course as it was basically just A level maths. Some found it boring and thought it should relate more closely to the rest of the degree programme. The statistics half of B46 was considered to be more challenging.
• One student thought that B21a needed more implementation to clarify the ideas but felt that B21b was an improvement in this respect. There was a request for more problem solving and less bookword. RH said that all of this was being re-written for the new M.Sci. degree and hoped these issues would be addressed.
