Virtual Environments 2010 Coursework Part 2: CAVE programming

Overview

Your task is to build a VE application which trains a user to perform a specific task. Your application will be marked in terms of its ability to successfully transfer the necessary knowledge to the user so that they can perform the task. Extra credit will be awarded for adding particular interaction to the application, and developing a method to measure the success of the training.

You can make anything engaging with immersive computer graphics and audio. Here are some ideas:

·         Tying various kinds of knots

·         Building a flat-pack piece of IKEA furniture

·         Perform specific acrobatic movements

·         Defuse a bomb

·         Navigate a complicated environment

·         Juggle

·         Maths!
