Detailed information about the COMP3091 and COMPM091 Final Year Individual Projects for 2012-13

All final year students are required to undertake a 1 credit individual project (module code COMP3091 for BSc and COMPM091 for MEng). You need to find a supervisor willing to supervise your project, ideally before the start of term 1 in late September, so you have time to prepare for your project before returning to UCL. The links below provide detailed information about projects, lists of project suggestions and give an idea of the kinds of projects that members of staff are interested in.

The deadline for submitting your project is
Noon Friday 26th April 2013
at the CS Reception Desk

Project Sign-up Instructions

Look at the project suggestions list to identify possible supervisors and project ideas.

Contact one or more potential supervisors and arrange to meet them to discuss your project idea(s).

You can either discuss one of the published project ideas or propose an idea of your own. Always have a project idea ready to talk about – don't expect a supervisor to tell you what project to do. If you don't have an idea to talk about the supervisor will probably tell you to go away!

Fill in the project registration form and email it to your supervisor and to Graham Roberts, who is the projects organiser.

You must register for a project before the end of the first teaching week of term, Friday 5th October 2012. If you are not registered you will be allocated a project and supervisor, and have no choice in what you do.
