MScCS Projects for Summer 2013

You are required to do an individual project over the summer, starting in late May/early June after the exams, and finishing in early September.

You need to choose a project and supervisor, and register your project, before the start of your exams. The links below provide detailed information about projects, along with a list of project suggestions and potential supervisors.

The deadline for registering your project is Friday 22nd March 2013.

The deadline for project submission (subject to confirmation) is noon Tuesday 3rd September 2013.

Project Sign-up Instructions

Look at the project suggestions list to identify possible supervisors and project ideas.

Contact one or more potential supervisors and arrange to meet them to discuss your project idea(s).

You can either discuss one of the published project ideas or propose an idea of your own. Always have a project idea ready to talk about – don't expect a supervisor to tell you what project to do. If you don't have an idea to talk about the supervisor will probably tell you to go away!

Fill in the project registration form and email it to your supervisor and to Graham Roberts, who is the projects organiser.

You should start your project soon after your last exam but you can have a short holiday if you like! Also you should have weekly tutorials with your supervisor, so arrange a regular day and time as soon as your project starts.
