When to apply
Please make sure your completed application reaches UCL no later than 3 August 2012, as we will not be able to consider candidates who apply after this time. The programme begins at the end of September each year. We recommend early application to secure a place for the next academic year.Our Admissions Policy
Entrance Requirements
1. Academic qualifications
The programme is aimed at students with a first degree in mathematics, finance, economics, physics or computing who wish to gain the skills necessary to work within quantitative risk management. Candidates will be expected to have established competency in probability, statistics, differential equations and the use of a computer to solve numerical problems.
The formal requirements are: a minimum of an upper second class UK Bachelor's degree, in a relevant discipline, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, with a strong quantitative component evidenced by good performance (>60%) in relevant mathematics, statistics or computation options.
2. English language requirements
All students whose first language is not English must be able to provide recent evidence that their spoken and written command of the English language is at a standard level. Fees and funding
Fees for 2012/2013 will be set at £18,000 for UK/EU students, and £20,000 for Overseas students. Please see the Fees, Costs and Funding section on the UCL website, which gives latest information on fees as well as a guide on living costs.
