Times for tutorials, which take place approximately every 2 weeks in the first term, will be agreed for each group individually with their tutor. Normally you should use this formal tutorial time to talk to your tutor and your fellow tutorial group members about what you are doing, and how the course is going week by week.
Your tutor will be an academic member of staff in the Department. Most tutors, though not all, are lecturing on your programme. If you wish to discuss any personal matters with your tutor outside of your regular meeting with the rest of your tutor group just make an appointment with him/her – email is usually the easiest way to get in touch but your tutor will explain how they prefer to operate when you meet them for the first time.
