Agenda Agreeed 1. Actions and Minutes of last meeting - all ok, all done. 2. Work in Year 2 and 3 of project (see agreed plan IC - some policy pieces not quite there yet. UCL - mostly done - the stack manager is not strictly "complete" but they have no deliverable between now and Oct, so can deliver i nthat time. Lancaster - Grace must confirm, but basically there - David Hitchison will send copies of recent papers to BT Loughborough, as per agreement, the ATM work has taken a backseat to the adaptive moniutoring, and this was encouraged. Oxford Brookes had some workplan changes, and these were now progressing fine. Cambridge - need to sort some of their liason a bit. 3. Workplan for years 4 and 5. (see current draft OBU and Cambridge need to sort out a lot more details with their respective contacts at BT. The UCL, Lancaster work plans are fine. Loughborough should make sure they keep flexibility to contue adaptive work or go to more atm work as interest changes. IC need to look a bit more at the auto-policy stuff. All finished versins of workplans to BT by end of April, we hope. 4 AOB BT and UCL mentioned the LEANET proposal. This is a plan to use the London/East Anglia network between BT, UCL and Cambridge Centers for Communications Systems Research to carry out low level comms research. UCL mentioned its two JISC/BT proposals to look at Video over IP, and IP QoS (different router queueing schemes, and signaling/RSVP deployment), and two MNA proposals to do some distance learing work on aforesaid network. Loughborough mentined their excellent progress on patenting work within this project, plus ATM work. Ian Marshall reminded people that BT Fellowships were avaialble, and that we should encourage people wishing to spend 6 months there to look at applying 5. T&D of Next Meeting July 16, to be at BT Labs, starting 10.30 (coffee at 10.) Actions: All to make sure draft plan is finished by end of April for Ian Marshall to progress within BT.
