Short Bio

I am an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the Virtual Environments and Computer Graphics group in the Department of Computer Science, University College London. Prior to coming to UCL, I was a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow of Princeton University, working in the Princeton Computer Graphics Group, a post I took after having received my PhD from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in 2006. My research interests are appearance modeling, 3D reconstruction, cultural heritage acquisition, and point-based graphics.

I am currently offering two projects for EngD candidates: Model-based Face Beautification and Acquiring Procedural Environment Models In The Wild. The offerings are Professional Doctorates (EngD) that run over 4 years. — An EngD project is essentially an MSc + PhD in terms of time and effort, but is conducted in collaboration with an industrial partner, which provides immediate access to an industrial environment, and comes with a competitive salary.
