Giovanni Quattrone received the MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Reggio Calabria in July 2003 and the PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical and Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Reggio Calabria in February 2007.

Since September 2010 he has been a Marie Curie research fellow under the FP7-PEOPLE-2009-IEF Marie Curie Action. He is currently with the Department of Computer Science of University College London.

His research interest include user modeling, knowledge extraction and representation, scheme integration, Cooperative Information Systems, and folksonomies.
