Description: Nokia Research Center (NRC) is the corporate R&D Unit of the Nokia Group, one of the leading companies in mobile phones and networks.

The role of NRC is to explore and develop new technologies, as well as product and system concepts based on them. NRC also supports their exploitation in actual product development undertaken by Nokia's business units. In addition, NRC provides the business units with new product design methods and tools, together with manufacturing technologies enabling them to improve the productivity and speed of both their development and production processes.

Academic Qualifications & Experience: Heikkinen is working as a requirements management consultant at Nokia Research Center. He obtained his M.Sc. in Software Engineering in 1991 from Tampere University of Technology. His research interests include groupware-supported requirements capture, analysis and refinement.
