Description: The Institut de Recherche en Cybern'etique de Nantes is a research center associated to the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research.) It is composed of 104 persons (38 professors and senior lecturers, 6 full-time (CNRS) researchers, 40 PhD students, and technical staff), working in areas ranging from automated systems, robotics to computer science. The computer science team is composed of 20 persons working in the areas of:
- specification languages for real-time applications (ELECTRE),

Academic Qualifications & Experience: Graduated from 'Ecole Centrale de Nantes (ECN, a leading General Engineering School in FRANCE), in 1990 (engineering Degree), with Highest Honors; specialization in Computer Science and Data Processing. Ph.D. in Computer Science and Automation obtained in March 1993, (with Highest Honors) at the 'Ecole Centrale de Nantes, University of Nantes. From 1990 to 1993, he was holder of a 3-year fellowship, sponsored by the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research). Since 1990, he is a member of the French research groupsG.R. Automatique (Research group in Automation) sponsored by the CNRS, special interest in Discrete-Event Systems, Projet de Recherche Coordonn'ee (PRC, now PRS) C3, (research project), sponsored by the CNRS, in the Specification and verification group, G.R. Automa-tique, C2A (Reactive languages), sponsored by the CNRS. He has worked as a lecturer (in computer science) in the Universit'e de Bretagne Occidentale, Brest (FRANCE) from 1993 to 1997. Since October 1997, he has been appointed as a CNRS full-time researcher and he is located in Nantes, IRCyN UMR CNRS 6597. His research activities include:
- feature integration in requirements engineering: he is the leader of the team in Nantes of the FIREworks ESPRIT-WG (23531),
- semantics of real-time/reactive languages,
- modeling of reactive systems by hybrid systems,
- compositional aspects of models for reactivity.
