CS student awarded top prize by the Romanian Ambassador

UCL Computer Science student Andrei Margeloiu has been awarded the Ambassador’s Diploma for Undergraduates by the Romanian Ambassador to London.

Ambassador Dan Mihalache presented the award to Andrei during the Conference of Romanian students, which was held at UCL on Friday 3 November 2017. The award is given to one Romanian undergraduate student in the UK who has achieved a distinction in their academic results for that year.

Undergraduate industry project winners awarded by BCS North London

We are excited to announce the winners of this year's first and second year best industry projects, which were awarded by the British Computer Society (BCS) North London and UCL Computer Science last Friday.

The best industry project awards recognise the achievements of the top 15 students in two computer science subjects (COMP103P and COMP205P), which enable students to engage in industry projects with real-world clients.

International student receives a warm welcome to London

Last Wednesday 25 October Computer Science student Ayesha Ahmed was one of ten lucky international students to be welcomed to London by the Deputy Mayor for Business.

Ayesha took part in a competitive selection process after being nominated for the international student welcome event by the Department of Computer Science. The event was organised by Study London, which promotes London as an international destination for study.

Congratulations to Professor Nataša Pržulj from the Department of Computer Science, who has been elected Member of the Academia Europaea in 2017.

UCL Engineering and Computer Science rated among world’s best in new rankings

UCL Engineering and Technology has been ranked fourth in the UK and among the top 40 in the world in the latest world league tables by the Times Higher Education (THE).

Computer Science at UCL was ranked among the top 20 in the world and fifth in the UK, confirming the Faculty of Engineering Sciences position as world leading.
