Abstract
Julia is a modern high-performance, dynamic language for technical computing, with many features which make it ideal for machine learning, including just-in-time (JIT) compilation, multiple dispatch, metaprogramming and easy to use parallelism. We will demonstrate these features and how they make it easy to write learning algorithms in a high level language without the need to rewrite in C for performance. We will also show some of the machine learning packages that are available in the Julia ecosystem, as well as the tools to deploy these models at large scale.
