Yes, but please ring and check the availability of the programme administrator first.
Do you accept mature applicants?
Yes, there is no age discrimination.
Do you accept visiting research students?

Our PhD programme can be taken on a part-time basis subject to the approval of the applicant’s potential supervisor.

What happens if I get made an offer but I don't meet the conditions?
If it is the English requirements you have not met, then you have another chance to retake your English test. If it is the academic requirements that you have not met, then we will terminate the offer.
Can I obtain a scholarship or assistantship or some other form of funding?
Yes - Funding is available for Home, EU, and overseas students and information can be found by clicking here. Please note that competition is very strong for these places so you need to consider very carefully how you would fund yourself before applying.
What are the language requirements for the programme?
GCSE English Language:
Pass at grade C
IELTS: International English Language Testing System:
Overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests
TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language:
- Paper-based:
Score of 580, plus 4 in Test of Written English (TWE). - Internet-based:
Score of 92, plus 24/30 in the reading and writing subtests and 20/30 in the listening and speaking subtests.

We must see a fully completed application form, including reference letters, transcript and statement of purpose, in order to make admissions decisions. We cannot make admissions decision based on brief information supplied by email.
May I schedule an appointment with the programme coordinator to discuss my qualifications and interest in the programme?
Unfortunately, due to the extremely high volume of applications received, it is impossible for the course coordinator to meet personally with each applicant.
