Entry Requirements

The MSc is designed for people who have a first or upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) in a highly quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or the Physical Sciences.
Industrial experience may compensate for lesser degrees or lack of technical qualification.
Successful candidates will have proven experience with programming languages such as C/ C++, Java or Python.
Applicants should have a strong foundation in mathematics including vector and matrix algebra, calculus, and probability and statistics.

Alternative Criteria

Candidates from programmes that do not include all of the above elements may be admitted based on demonstrated programming skills (e.g. through professional projects) and a strong ability to learn (e.g. First level marks).
Candidates may offer electronic/electrical engineering or other engineering/science degrees with at least two years of professional experience as a software developer. Such applicants may be admitted based on demonstrated programming skills and a strong ability to learn.

English Language Requirements (needed in addition to above requirements)

GCSE English Language:
Pass at grade C

IELTS: International English Language Testing System:
Overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests

TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language:

Internet-based:
Score of 94, plus 24/30 in the reading and writing subtests and 23/30 in the listening and speaking subtests.

Please note that this programme requires a level of English equivalent to the "UCL standard Level".

Applicants are required to meet both the entry requirements and the English Language requirements separately.
Each applicant will be considered on an individual basis.
