Testimonials

"I am now a technology analyst in Bank of America, developing and supporting the Foreign Exchange systems for the bank."

"I am doing a PhD in Computer Science at UCL. Particularly, I am doing research in the field of Information Security and applying all my knowledge gained during the MSc course."
"I am working in our company's head office at Welling, Kent. My role here is to manage the Small Business Server (of course, the things I had learnt in computer security are helping me a lot). I am also looking into website designing for the company and company's internal software development. The company will outsource its business to India by mid of this year so needs to configure servers at both sides."
"I am currently employed as a Software Developer at Ocado, a leading online retailer in the UK. My work is mainly focussed on backend business intelligence systems. Information security is an important part of it because we deal with sensitive information about customers and the business in general."
"I am working in the media industry in UK's biggest media agency - MediaCom as a media executive. Of course, I am working in the digital department. My work responsibility involves planning and project managing online advertising campaigns by using combination of media methodologies and technologies. This job may not be as relevant as what other course mates are doing right now, but I am enjoying every moment of it."
"I am working for Credit Suisse as a Technical Analyst and my main job is to design algorithmic trading strategies for arbitrage desk. I did MSc in information security in UCL - as I was really interested in the subject for studies. I decided to work in the finance industry to gain more knowledge of the finance world. Also the work sounded really interesting and challenging! I have done many graduate recruitment events in UCL these past few years with CS and it has been great."
"I am working with a software firm as an IT Engineer, based in London. The job is quite interesting. It was a bit difficult to get into the security field as I did not have the security clearance, so I changed my field a bit. I believe UCL was a very good experience, diversified culture, exciting location, good academic level. That is all which defines UCL. That one year was the most exciting year of my life."
"I am currently doing my PhD in Cryptography at the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany under the supervision of Eike Kiltz. As part of my PhD I am employed by the university as a research assistant. My current research is on the design and analysis of modern cryptographic protocols, with a general goal of making them as efficient as possible, or indeed discovering the limits of their efficiency. My time at UCL was vital to this as this was where I learnt all the fundamentals of cryptography and cryptographic research."
