English Language Requirements

Please note that our courses require a level of English equivalent to the "UCL Standard Level".
Acceptability of A level Qualifications
- Please be aware that A level Critical Thinking and A level General Studies do not meet UCL's A level entry requirements.
- UCL also has a list of preferred A-Level subjects of which at least 2 of your A-Levels subjects should match.
- There are also some restrictions of the acceptance of Mother Tongue Langauges.

Notes and Additional Requirements
- Applicants are required to meet both the entry requirements and the English Language requirements separately.
- From 2012, UCL's GCSE requirements will change to include a pass in a Modern Language. Please see UCL's Admissions Pages for further details.
- MEng International applicants are not required to have an additional language qualification, but having prior language skills is recommended if applicants wish to study in a non-English speaking country.
