Acceptability of A level Qualifications

  • Please be aware that A level Critical Thinking and A level General Studies do not meet UCL's A level entry requirements.

  • UCL also has a list of preferred A-Level subjects of which at least 2 of your A-Levels subjects should match.

  • There are also some restrictions of the acceptance of Mother Tongue Langauges.

  • Please see UCL's Admissions Pages for further details on the acceptability of A-Levels.

Notes and Additional Requirements

  • Applicants are required to meet both the entry requirements and the English Language requirements separately.

  • From 2012, UCL's GCSE requirements will change to include a pass in a Modern Language.  Please see UCL's Admissions Pages for further details.

  • MEng International applicants are not required to have an additional language qualification, but having prior language skills is recommended if applicants wish to study in a non-English speaking country.
